# Gotchas

> This guide will walk you through some common gotchas when developing the Explore Assistant.

## Backend Setup

* The GCP API might need more than the "wait times" to be ready. You might have to re-run the terraform apply again, even without changing anything.
* When setting up the backend with the Cloud Shell in the GCP interface, you might need to manually turn on the Service Usage API in the GCP console.
